AJo
So, I played at one of the local cardrooms for the first time in months today. Just a little 3/6 while watching baseball.
Anyway, at one point early on, this retard in a leather baseball cap sits down 4 seats to my right. His 2nd hand at the table, he limps UTG. There's another limper to me and I pop it with AdJs. Get some cold-calls, which I expected; the button, both blinds, as well as the retard and the limper between. All together, 6 of us see the flop for 2 bets, which is QT9, with 2 diamonds. It's checked to me, and I bet to thin the field a little, which works, and also to ferret out draws and maybe get a raise out of someone who flopped a monster. Only the button (a little old chinese lady who could have anything, including 22 in the hole, and would call down) and the retard call. The turn is Jh, so now I have a pair and a draw. He checks, I bet, both call. The river is Jd, which now I hate because one of them could be playing diamonds, but I gotta call if there's a bet because I have 3 jacks, and the fact that I have the ace of diamonds makes it less likely that one of them is drawing diamonds... and the pot's pretty big. Retard leads out, hesitantly. I call, and the button calls. Retard doesn't want to show his hand first, but the dealer makes him because he led out. He has AJo. I roll my hand and the button mucks, and retard and I chop the pot.
As the dealer is chopping the pot, and prepping for the next hand, retard is staring me down. Then says, "That was a pretty gutsy raise, there." I say, "What raise? You bet, I just called," thinking he was talking about the river action because the diamonds came. He says, "Before the flop. You raised AJ before the flop." I say, "Yeah, I did. You got a problem with that?" He says, "Yeah, I got a problem with that. It's stupid. You're an idiot," and starts racking up his chips. Chinese lady pipes in with, "You leaving already?" and he retorts with, "Yeah, I'm taking all your money and going home. You don't know how to play anyway." So I tell him to go fuck himself, which prompts no response at all.
For the next five hours, every time I raise, the entire table starts yelling, "You have ace-jack, idiot? What's wrong with you! You don't know how to play!"
