MozClocker: Circuit Board Desk Clock

Circuit Board Desk Clock: This eccentric clock is a real one-of-a-kind. Built to stand on it's own, it has two legs to allow it to do so; but if you prefer to hang it on a wall, simply unscrew the legs, and you've made it into a wall clock!

Made from a recycled circuit board, this clock features a quartz clockwork that runs on a single AA battery. The ornate hands are painted white, to stand out.

Check out this clock, and a variety of other hand-made, recycled and re-purposed clocks at MozClocker's Etsy today!

MozClocker: DVD Player Clock

DVD Player Clock: This is one of the nicest MozClocker creations yet! A DVD Player that has been given new life as a desk- or mantle-clock. This recycled item is the ultimate in geekery and a real conversation piece. You can see all of the details that once made up the DVD player, from the bull nose of the drawer to the circuit boards and cable connections on the other end; all tastefully placed for pleasing asymmetry.

MozClocker

A new pursuit! I've created and etsy shop, under the name "MozClocker." I'm making artsy clocks, some hand-painted, most using recycled or re-purposed materials such as computer parts or CDs. Check it out, and recommend me to your friends. And honestly, I'm posting about it here, because I know google indexes blogger really efficiently, so I'm hoping this will drive some traffic.

Anyway, I'll make a post about each clock that I've listed so far, and will try to post here for each one I put up in the future, as well.

The Plagiarist's Corner, vol. 27: Gallows Pole

Gallows Pole
by Led Zeppelin

Hangman, hangman
Hold it a little while
I Think I see my friends coming
Riding many a mile
Friends, you get some silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my dear friends, to keep me from the Gallows Pole?
What did you bring me to keep me from the Gallows Pole?

I couldn't get no silver
I couldn't get no gold
You know that we're too damn poor
To keep you from the Gallows Pole

Hangman, hangman
Hold it a little while
I think I see my brother coming
Riding many a mile
Brother, you get me some silver?
Did you get a little gold?
What did you bring me, my brother, to keep me from the Gallows Pole?

Brother, I brought you some silver, yeah
I brought a little gold
I brought a little of everything to keep you from the Gallows Pole
Yes, I brought you to keep you from the Gallows Pole

Hangman, hangman
Turn your head awhile,
I think I see my sister coming, riding many mile, mile, mile.
Sister, I implore you
Take him by the hand
Take him to some shady bower, save me from the wrath of this man
Please take him
Save me from the wrath of this mad man.

Hangman, hangman
Upon your face a smile
Tell me that I'm free to ride
Ride for many a mile, mile, mile

Oh yes, you got a fine sister
She warmed my blood from cold
She warmed my blood to boiling hot
To keep you from the Gallows Pole
Your brother brought me silver
Your sister warmed my soul
But now I laugh and pull so hard
See you swinging from the Gallows Pole

But now I laugh and pull so hard
See you swinging from the Gallows Pole, pole, pole
Swingin' on the gallows pole!
Swingin' on the gallows pole!
Swingin' on the gallows pole!

Ah-ha-ha
Swingin'
Swingin'
Swingin' on the gallows pole!

Swing!
See-saw marjory daw

Swing!
See-saw knock at my door

Eclectic Mix

I love it when iTunes does this. Quite an eclectic mix, but the progression works well. I suppose it helps that it's all my music, and songs that I like:
  • Lava - The B-52s
  • Shake It Up - The Cars
  • If You Leave - O.M.D.
  • Islamic Bomb - Jello Biafra and The Melvins
  • I heard Her Call My Name - The Velvet Underground
  • I Fought The Law - The Dead Kennedys
  • I Am The Owl - The Dead Kennedys
  • Personality Crisis - New York Dolls
  • Sometimes I Do - Social Distortion
  • Rock and Roll - Led Zeppelin

The Plagiarist's Corner, vol. 26: Slap and Tickle

Slap and Tickle
by Squeeze

She was frigid like a bible
When she met her boyfriend, Michael
He took her in his Zephyr
They sat like salt 'n pepper

Looking out across the city
From Lover's Leap is pretty
The lights, they flick 'n flutter
He told her how he loved her

Next night he called for her
But dad protected daughter
And told him she was poorly
A lie was told there, surely
So Michael felt rejected
This wasn't quite expected
He drove off to his local
Where he felt antisocial

She cried all night at missing
The boy she could be kissing
While he was falling over
He drunk himself back sober
And went home in a taxi
And crashed out in the back seat
He slept just like a baby
Which he hadn't done just lately

He saw her in the morning
Out with his sister, Pauline
She felt all shy and soppy
He acted cool and cocky
He said, "Tonight at Charlie's,
There's gonna be a party.
I'll meet you at half seven."
She visualized a heaven

If you ever change your mind
Which you do from time to time
Never chew a pickle
With a little slap and tickle
You have to throw the stone
To get the pool to ripple

That night they danced together
It looked like love forever
He put his hand on her leg
You should have heard what she said
He tried again much later
It seem to aggravate her
He drove home in silence
Avoiding more violence

She said, "Let's watch the city,
From Lover's Leap, it's pretty.
I think I need the fresh air."
She put a comb through her hair
That's when she turned to kiss him
Then very nearly missed him
And put her hand on his leg
He felt her tongue in his head

If you ever change your mind
Which you do from time to time
Never chew a pickle
With a little slap and tickle
You have to throw the stone
To get the pool to ripple
